"The Antigo Daily Journal" Antigo, Langlade Co., WI Monday, May 15, 1961 Mrs. S. Noskowiak Dies at Age of 83 Mrs. Steve Noskowiak, 83, of Antigo died early Sunday at a local nursing home. The former Agnes Baraniak, she was born in Poland in January of 1878 and came to this country as a child. In 1894, she was married at St. John's Catholic church to Steve Noskowiak. Mrs. Noskowiak was an Antigo resident since 1943 and previously resided in the town of Rolling. She was a member of St. Hyacinth's Catholic church and the Rosary Society of the church. Five daughters and five sons survive. They are Mrs. Leo (Martha) Samolinski, Mrs. Albert (Helen) Hersant, Michael, Louis and John, all of Antigo, Mrs. Frances Zielke, Mrs. John (Margaret) Antonelli, Frank and Tony, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Barbara Hartman of North Liberty, Ind. Other survivors include 38 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and a brother John of California. Her husband died in 1951 and a daughter, Mary, died in 1931. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Hyacinth's church with the Rev. Victor Hoppa officiating. Burial will be in Queen of Peace cemetery. Friends may call at the Soman and Rhodes funeral chapels from 2 p.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be said at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. |
