Helen STOLZMAN KNOLINSKI, of Antigo, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice and her family.
She was 102 years old. She was born on July 29, 1909 in Libertyville, IL a daughter of William and Anna (Gras) Stolzman.
She married Edward Knolinski on September 22, 1926 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1967.
She attended the Malcalm Grade School in Illinois and moved to Antigo at age 14. She was employed at Langlade Laundry and Cleaners and Superior Cleaners.
From the early 1950's to the early 1970's she owned and operated Knolinski Cottage and Boat rentals on Pelican Lake.
For 25 years she worked as bookkeeper for St. Hyacinth Catholic Church where she also served on the parish council finance committee and was a member
and past president of the Rosary Society. Mrs. Knolinski was a life member of the Leland-Tollefson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2653 auxiliary.
She was a resident at Parkview Manor where she served as secretary treasurer of the residents council and was a member of the Queen Bee Homemakers Club.
She was a founder and leader of a support group for the legally blind and visually impaired which began in 1997 and continues today.
She sang with the Silvertones, was a member of AARP and the Langlade County Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include a son Robert Knolinski, Kokomo, Ind; ten Grandchildren Kathleen (Larry) Boksa, Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Patricia Gnacinski, Antigo, Tom (Peg) Andres, Antigo,
Mary Jo Andres, Antigo, Joni (Andrew) Sensenbrenner, Deerbrook, Catherine (Charles) VanHorn, Key Biscayne, Florida, Edward Knolinski, Kokomo, Indiana,
Carol Knolinski, Kokomo, Indiana, Barbara Knolinski, Aurora, Illinois, James (Cassandra) Knolinski, Russiaville, Indiana; ten great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine (Eugene) Andres, four brothers, August, Arthur, Albert and Alfred Stolzman,
two sisters, Louise Laehn, and Eleanor Sikora, a grandson-in-law, James Gnacinski, a great grandson, Brian Andres, a daughter-in-law, Joan Knolinski.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with her nephew, Rev. William Stolzman and Rev. William Brunner officiating.
Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. on Sunday and 9-10 a.m. on Monday at the Bradley Funeral Home.
A Rosary Society wake service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday and the parish wake service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday all at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Helen's name to your favorite charity.
Noreen D. CRAWFORD KNOLINSKI, 98, of North Haven Assisted Living Homes, Stevens Point, WI Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, February 07, 2013.
Noreen was born on December 5, 1914 in Antigo, WI to Hortence and Earl Crawford.
She married Raymond R. Knolinski on October 5, 1933 in Antigo, WI and moved to Wisconsin Rapids, WI in 1960.
Noreen worked at Woolworth, Woolco, and Johnson Hills and with her husband, Ray at Wisconsin Theater and Highway 13 Outdoor.
She was also active with Catholic Daughters of America, AARP- national and local chapters, Catholic Women's Club, VFW Auxiliary, Name Club and Blue Army.
Noreen is survived by one son, John R. Knolinski, Wisconsin Rapids and one daughter, Donna Rolstad, Stevens Point;
10 grandchildren and many great and great- great grandchildren; and one brother Jack Crawford of Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, one daughter Nancy Stege, one son-in-law Don Stege, one grandson Doug Stege, five brothers and two sisters, and her parents.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:00 am with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service at Higgins Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff at North Haven Assisted Living Homes and Saint Michael's Ministry Health Care for the care they gave her.
