Celia T. Jankowski, age 100, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Appleton Health Care Center.
She was born September 22, 1910, in Menasha, daughter of the late John and Catherine Zielinski.
She worked at Kimberly-Clark of Neenah for 2 years before her marriage to Edward Jankowski.
They were married at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo in 1931.
They lived and farmed in Antigo for 18 years before moving to Lodi, CA, where they had a dairy farm.
In 1962, they came to live in Menasha and she worked for the Food Queen Stores for 13 years until her retirement in 1975.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and of their Holy Rosary Society.
Survivors include two sons: Gene (Doris) Jankowski and Hillard Jankowski; one sister, Susan Baginski; 15 grandchildren,
32 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by three sisters:
Agnes Pawlak, Claire (Glenn) Rives, and Mary (Ben) Jankowski.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,
516 DePere Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Radetski officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of mass at the church.
Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery-Valley Road, Town of Menasha.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her name for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
