Mrs. Dolores A. Loftin, age 90, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Loftin was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 14, 1926, daughter of the late Theodore Antoniewicz and the late Clara Bauman Antoniewicz.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Asa Claud "A.C." Loftin on August 15, 2014.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Loftin worked as a Surgical Nurse at Redmond Regional Medical Center for a number of years.
After her retirement, she volunteered at Redmond Regional Medical Center and Harbin Clinic.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Floyd County Homemaker's Club, Senior Toastmasters Club of Rome, and Senior Scholars at Berry College.
Survivors include
a brother, Raymond Antoniewicz, Milwaukee, WI;
children, Jeanette Loftin Barnes, Fred Daniel Loftin, and Robert Wayne Loftin;
grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016, at 11:30am at the Georgia National Cemetery with Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating.
A scattering ceremony will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Murphy-Harpst Children's Centers, 740 Fletcher Street, Cedartown, GA 30125 or at www.murphyharpst.org.
